Specialty Pharmacy Becoming The New Norm

The University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy Master of Science in Pharmacy Business Administration (MSPBA) recognizes student Heather Brand, MSPBA Class of 2016, for her recent publication in Specialty Pharmacy Times. Heather’s article  titled, “Value-Based Care Creates Opportunities for Specialty Pharmacy”, explores the growth and financial impact of Specialty Pharmacy in the business of medicines.

Heather worked for an oncology based pharmacy for six years prior to transitioning to a consultant role for a benefits management firm. She is currently enrolled in the Masters of Science in Pharmacy Business Administration (MSPBA) program at the University of Pittsburgh, a 12-month, executive-style graduate education program designed for working professionals striving to be tomorrow’s leaders in the business of medicines.
